What does the Malaysian ST COA certification mean?
ST COA safety certificate is Malaysia's safety certification system, which combines compulsory products and voluntary products. Compulsory certification is ST COA. Products that have not obtained compulsory certification can apply for a voluntary confirmation letter. Currently, Malaysia only has safety requirements, but not implemented on EMC.

Malaysia ST COA (Certificate of Approval) is a mandatory safety certificate controlled by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST). According to the Electricity Supply Law (1990) and the Electricity Law (1994), STMicroelectronics has implemented a compliance certification system for electrical and electronic products. Controlled products must obtain COA before they can enter the Malaysian market.

The national standard of Malaysia is MS (Malaysian Standard). The MS standard for product safety certification is the basic usage of the equivalent national IEC standard.
COA is a customs clearance certificate. After the products enter the customs, importers with COA can apply for bulk purchase of MS labels from SIRIM. If the factory wants to mark directly, it needs to apply to SIRIM for factory inspection. Due to the high cost, this method is usually suitable for shipyards with higher frequencies.

COA remarks:
